Team Leader / Cooperating Foreman Grinding Shop M/F
What will you be doing?
As a Team Leader / Cooperating Foreman Grinding Shop, you will be responsible for carrying out and managing the daily tasks in our grinding workshop. This involves (CNC-) surface,- and profile-grinding, (CNC-) cylindrical grinding, centerless-grinding, honing and lapping. The tolerances will run up to the µ range.
Also, the following ancillary operations take place in the workshop: finishing high-precision high-tech products using tapping, drilling, reaming, deburring, tumbling, polishing, laser engraving, and cleaning. Also assembling, measuring, and minor maintenance work are one of those operations.
As Team Leader / Cooperating Foreman Grinding Shop, as an experienced grinder, you will manage your close colleagues (3 to 4 people) and coach them if necessary. You will also be responsible for the scheduling of the department and try to make all work run as efficiently as possible. You are also the department’s point of contact towards work preparation and management and participate in the periodic work meetings together with the other team leaders and the management team. In short: plenty of variety and responsibility! It is important to us that you are motivated and think critically about improvement processes. Because even something that is going well can always be improved! Based on our drawings and technical preparations, you assess and determine the best approach together with your colleagues and work preparation. We work together as one team, so you will never face difficult tasks alone.

What do we expect from you?
- You are highly accurate, solution-oriented, proactive, have an eye for detail and can work independently and cooperate with all your colleagues.
- You have at least 5-10 years of practical experience as a (CNC) surface/profile, -and/or (CNC) cylindrical grinder and/or as a toolmaker.
- You like structured, clean and very neat work.
- You have experience with the fabrication of high-precision single pieces or small series.
- You possess a lot of technical knowledge and work experience related to the various grinding operations.
- You have a proactive attitude and a hands-on mentality.
In short: a real go-getter who takes the lead in the department, stimulates and manages as efficiently as possible.
- You have good communication and coaching skills.
- You possess leadership skills and take responsibility where necessary.
- You are eager to learn and flexible concerning your tasks.
- You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Precision Engineering*, possibly supplemented with job-related courses (MBO level 4 professional and intellectual capability, MBO = post-secondary vocational education).
